Dr. Miniyar took the time to listen and genuinely cared about what I had to say…

Life can change in an instant. For me, it was the day my son Andrew was born, when I met Dr. Miniyar, and when Andrew was diagnosed with a very rare genetics syndrome called Smith Lemli Opitz Syndrome. For the first three months of his life, Andrew was a poor feeder, had failure to thrive and cried incisively. Doctors told me he only had colic and he would grow out of it. I knew in my heart that something was wrong with my son, but no one would listen to me. I called to get yet another appointment and this time Andrew saw Dr. Miniyar. Instead of making me feel as if I was imagining things, Dr. Miniyar knew almost immediately that something was wrong and was eager and willing to get to the bottom of it. Dr. Miniyar took the time to listen and genuinely cared about what I had to say, and because of this, he was able to get to the bottom of my son’s problem. I pray to God everyday for my son and for Dr. Miniyar. He truly is our guardian angel with a stethoscope. I sincerely believe Andrew would not be here today if Dr. Miniyar had not taken the time to listen.

Dr. Miniyar’s fine expertise saved my precious daughter’s life…

Dr. Raj Miniyar is a hero to me. My daughter is 6 years old and had a heart transplant at 14 months old. Since that time Dr. Miniyar has always been very loving and caring towards her. We see him in the office regularly and have had a chance to see him interact with other children as well. This man is a true angel sent from Heaven in our book. I cannot speak of Dr. Miniyar without telling of the day he literally saved my precious daughter’s life. I had taken her into the office because she was very sick and lethargic. Being a post transplant patient, it’s pretty standard when they are running a fever above 101 to go ahead and get labs. We got the labs before we went. By the time we got there her labs were already there. Dr. Miniyar immediately came into the room, dropping everything else he was doing and told me Megan had bacterial pneumonia and he was calling the ambulance right away to take us to Atlanta. Within minutes we were on our way to Atlanta. When we got there the doctors told us she was extremely sick and it was a very good thing that Dr. Miniyar had sent us when he did or she would have ended up in PICU. Because of Dr. Miniyar’s fine expertise he saved my daughter’s life. I would highly recommend anyone to this fine pediatrician.

Thank you for the wonderful conscientious care you have given us.

Dear Dr. Miniyar, Thank you for the wonderful conscientious care you have given us. When Abby, our 16 years old daughter became very ill two years ago, I thoughts had a common stomach virus, but being the careful concerned doctor God made you, you were thorough and ordered additional lab test .Thank the Almighty you did! The medication another doctor had given her for a very mild case of acne had inflamed her Pancreas causing serves stomach pain and vomiting. You didn’t stop with just the test treatment and hospital visits, but the nurses told me that you called several times in between to see how Abby was doing. That kind of care and concern made me feel less anxious and very blessed. T hank to you and God, Abby has recovered and we continued to put the medical care of four children in the hands of a very capable reliable and caring doctor. We are truly thankful that you have been a part of our lives. May God bless you
always.

Dr. Miniyar really listens to my concerns…

These days it is hard to find a doctor that builds a relationship with not only the patients but also the parents. Dr. Miniyar really listens to my concerns as a parent and he takes the time to make sure I understand and agree with his treatment plans for my children. He shows a sincere concern for their well being. My youngest daughter Faith was a 25 week preemie. Because of this, she has had many health issues. Dr. Miniyar has been an amazing health care provider for Faith. I am very blessed to have someone as caring and kind as Dr. Miniyar providing healthcare for my children.

I thank him so much for everything he has done for my son!!!

My name is Amanda Valles. I have a 2 year old son named Taylor. He was born with a rare syndrome*, which causes your kidneys to fail. At first we had no idea that anything was even wrong with him. Then things suddenly got worse. If it would not have been for Dr. Miniyar deciding to run some extra test on him, I really believe he would have died. So in a way, I guess you can say that he saved his life. And every since that day, Dr. Miniyar has kept a close eye on him and has done excellent work with him beyond what any other doctor could have done. I thank him so much for everything he has done for my son!!!
* Tylor was born with a very rare syndrome. There are only about 160 cases diagnosed with this disorder around the world, ever.

In addition to his thoroughness, Dr. Miniyar has always been kind to and gentle with Kim Jade and friendly and sincere with us…

Dr. Miniyar has treated our little girl, Kim Jade, who is now 10 years old, for most of her life.

In 2004, she had pneumonia and was in the hospital for seven scary days. Dr. Miniyar cared for her daily and got her through the pneumonia with no lasting effects.

The next year Kim Jade had a FUO (fever of unknown origin) for eleven straight, terrifying days. Her fever would often reach 105 degrees during the night and we would have to cover her in wet sheets to bring it down a couple of degrees. Again, Dr. Miniyar patiently and caringly, saw her through this. He gave her every test known to medicine, trying to find the cause.

Most recently, Kim Jade started (out of the blue) making exaggerated gyrations with her fingers. She said she was drawing pictures. This went on almost non-stop for months. Finally, we took her to Dr. Miniyar, who immediately recognized the behavior as PANDAS related. I researched this on the internet and apparently most doctors do not even know about this affliction. But, Dr. Miniyar did and he was able to cure it through a course of antibiotics (the affliction seems to be related to the strep infection).

In addition to his thoroughness, Dr. Miniyar has always been kind to and gentle with Kim Jade and friendly and sincere with us. If you need a top-of-the-line pediatrician, this is your man.

Dr. Miniyar’s way with children is what makes him stand alone from other pediatricians.

Our son Aiden from an early age was terrified of the doctor’s office. So naturally, each visit came with fear and anxiety. Those fears were minimized when we were treated by Dr. Miniyar. He has a way of soothing your child’s fears and displays a presence of calmness when he enters into the exam room. Dr. Miniyar’s examinations always start out with great ease and gentleness. Of course, excellent care is why we love Dr.Miniyar, but his way with children is what makes him stand alone from other pediatricians.
